Yeah, that 40 min throwaway first set leaves a bad taste to boot.

OH crap. Almost forgot about that 88 today. Gonna go for
that! Kinda scared looking at the Eyes>IWTYH though...
I see you been there and done that:

Subject: great time
The help/slip/frank chant started right as the band took to the stage for set 2. No dice until the fall 89. Great time, very cool show. You'll hear a giant impromptu roar from the crowd right as Jerry completes the jamming portion of Bird Song. A hanglider flew right over the stage at that point.

Revise: In honor of the 4th of july I listened to this again and the hey pocky way is atomic. Mydland was feeling it because he totally cuts off Weir's Looks like rain tuning and goes for it. Top notch.

The 66 and 69 looks like great 'preparing and then
eating' supper tunes for tonight.
Eat, breath, and live the GD

Look, the 5 stars may be a tad bit of a reach(it's not barton hall) but this is a really fun show. Kind of raunchy in parts.. Strong brent show and that second set really cooks. Awesome Bird song to boot. If you listen to a good audience tape you can hear a few folks give a loud "awww" when the band pulls thr rip cord after 6 songs.
